I'm quite arty. You'll often find me with my nose in a book: usually reading more than one at a time.

I have recently taken up painting and drawing. After dropping Art in my GCSE year because I was really poor. I've found that actually I'm not as bad as I remember being. I really would like to paint more so am looking at getting a good stockpile of paint and canvas.

I also write fiction and poetry. I have done so for a long time. I published my first novel 'Unbreakable Ties' in 2006. You can read some of my work in the FaceBook Group 'Xowie Brandt: Author' if you're interested. I couldn't tell you what inspires my writing - it can be a range of things. At the moment I'm writing a lot of erotica. It started with a great website called Literotica.com who hold an annual writing competition. I flaked out fairly quickly but was really pleased with the short stories that I wrote. Frankly their more pornographic than erotic so at the moment I am writing an erotic novel.
